A1-белсайт The international project «YOUNG RUSSIA», founded by the Foundation for social and cultural initiatives and D.E.V.E. Gallery, started in June 2011. During this period many events with the participation of the artists from Russia, Belgium and Belarus were held. The plein-airs and master classes with the participation of Belgian artists and young artists from different places of Russia: Penza, Nizhniy Novgorod, Samara, Krasnoyarsk, Ivanovo, Sent-Petersburg and Moscow took place in Brugge on the base of D.E.V.E. Gallery. In Autumn 2012 our cultural cooperation was continued in Russia. The first plein- air with the participation of the students from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brugge under the direction of the tutor Ann Vrielink and the young painters from the Moscow State Academy of Ilya Glazunov was held in Russia. The Belgian painters visited Russia for the first time and were greatly impressed. Russia inspired them to create paintings that were displayed at the exhibition «Culture without boarders» which took place in the residence of the Ambassador of Belgium in Moscow in November 2012. … We discovered in Russia, but also already in Bruges that working together hand in hand is not difficult…. We speak the same language and fill involved with everyone….
